Most of us spend a fair amount of time inside the car, whether we are commuting for work or travelling with family over weekends. Now everybody loves fresh air but over time, certain odors will build up inside every car, giving it a distinctive, unpleasant smell. Building up of odors is beyond our control but still we can maintain pleasant odors in car with air fresheners. Designed to keep the interior of your car smelling nice at all times, air fresheners have become indispensable for anyone with a car nowadays, which is why there is an abundance of lesser-quality car air fresheners being sold these days.
Air fresheners come in sprays that sanitize the air, neutralize odor, or simply cover it up. Some neutralizers are dual purpose products that work to eliminate the source of an odor while leaving a clean scent in its place. Keeping a pressurized can in car is always risky hence not advisable to go for it.
Scented oil wick air fresheners are simple and cheap way of scenting the car cabin. Ambi-Pur is one of the most popular brands. It consists of a glass bottle and a porous wick that transports the oil to a plastic top, which has holders clipped on to the car’s air vents. The air from the vents vaporizes the oil and its effectiveness is in proportion to the blower’s capacity. The plastic top has mechanism to control the amount of fragrance released. Oil wicks always stand a chance of leakage and played around if you have kids in car.
Gel type air fresheners are counted among the best type since there is least probability of leakage with it or getting damaged in case of high heat. It’s very easy to handle and fits in well at cup holders or can be mounted on air vents. Gels are also versatile and can be placed under the seats, on the dashboard or in the trunk. They last long but their effectiveness is limited if placed in an area with insufficient air flow.
